Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible
Expenselyn is developed and operated by Nicoseal ("we"). You can reach us about personal data at privacy@expenselyn.com.
2. What data we use
- Account: email and password (stored hashed, we can't read it) and an optional display name.
- Google sign-in, if you use it: the email and basic profile data Google provides to identify you.
- Financial data you enter: accounts, movements, transfers, categories, cards, debts, recurring items, goals, investments and phases. You enter it yourself: we don't connect to your bank or broker.
- Expense groups: the emails of people you invite, and the group's expenses and payments. Only invite people who agree to it.
- Preferences: base currency, language, date format, country, time zone and last access date.
- Technical data: infrastructure providers log data such as IP addresses to run and protect the service.
We use no advertising, analytics tools or trackers. The app doesn't ask for your location, contacts, photos or files.
3. What we use it for
- Creating your account, signing you in and showing your data, calculations and charts.
- Syncing your information between the web and your phone.
- Sharing with a group's members what belongs to that group.
- Sending necessary account messages, such as confirming your email or recovering your password.
We process this data with your consent and to provide the service you asked for. We don't sell it or use it for advertising.
4. Who it's shared with
Only the providers needed for the app to work:
- Supabase: database and sign-in. Their policy.
- Vercel: web hosting. Their policy.
- Google: Google sign-in, if you use it, and distribution on Google Play. Their policy.
These providers may process data outside Argentina. Exchange rates and market prices come from public sources (for example, BYMA) without sending them your data. Members of a group see your display name, your email and what's entered in that group.
5. Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) and database access is restricted per user, so each person sees their own data and what they share in their groups. On your phone, the app keeps a local copy to work offline, which is erased when you sign out. No system is foolproof, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
6. Your rights
- Access and export: in Profile you can download your data as JSON and your movements as CSV.
- Correct or update: directly in the app.
- Delete: you can delete your account from Profile or Settings. See Account deletion.
- Questions: for anything else, write to privacy@expenselyn.com.
Under Argentine Law 25.326, you may exercise your right of access free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless you show a legitimate interest. The Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública, as the law's oversight body, handles complaints from anyone whose data protection rights are affected.
7. How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. When you delete it we erase your data; the provider's backups may keep it for a limited time until they rotate. In groups created by others, your expenses and payments remain so balances still add up, without your email or the link to your account.
8. Minors
Expenselyn isn't directed at children under 13. If we detect data from a child under that age, we delete it. Between 13 and 18, permission from a parent or guardian is required.
9. Cookies
We only use the ones the website needs to work. Details are in the Cookie Policy.
10. Changes
If we change anything important, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
